Day 1: Arrive Istanbul
Arrive at Ataturk airport in Istanbul, meet our greeter and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Full Day Istanbul Tour
09.00 a.m. After breakfast, pick up from hotel and our journey begins in Istanbul, the only city in the world situated on two continents. We visit the Topkapi Palace including Harem, The Blue Mosque and Hippodrome where chariot races and the Byzantine riots took place. Then we’ll visit the Underground Cistern. At the end of the day visit the Grand Bazaar for shopping.
Day 3: Full Day Istanbul Tour
08.30 a.m. After breakfast, pick up from hotel. First visit Hagia Sophia the Byzantine church which was converted to a mosque in 15th century. Continue to Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar): The air here is filled with the enticing aromas of cinnamon, caraway, saffron, mint, thyme etc. Later we will join a boat trip on the Bosphorus, a traditional excursion by boat along the waterway separating Europe and Asia. The shore is lined with old wooden villas, palaces of marble, fortresses, and small fishing villages. Transfer to your hotel.
Day 4: Istanbul - (by flight) Izmir - Ephesus Tour – Kusadasi
Pick up from hotel and transfer to Istanbul airport for morning flight to Izmir. Arrive in Izmir Airport, meet your guide and drive to Ephesus (45 minutes drive). First visit the Artemission Temple which is one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World. Continue to Ephesus, one of the 12 cities of Ionia and one of the best preserved classical city of the Eastern Mediterranean dated back to 2000 years. After Ephesus visit, you can see some of the traditional carpet weaving techniques and enjoy viewing some splendid displays of beautiful carpets a local handicrafts center. Afternoon visit House of Virgin Mary. This house is located on the Aladag Mountains 5 miles from Ephesus. At the third Ecumenical Council of 431 in Ephesus, it was claimed that Mary came to Ephesus with St. John in 37 A.D. and lived there until her death in 48 A.D. Transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Kusadasi - Pamukkale Tour (3, 5 hours drive)
After breakfast we’ll drive to Pamukkale, on the way visit Aphrodisias which was primarily known as the center for the arts, specifically sculpture. The Aphrodisias School of Sculpture had a distinctive style and was very well circulated throughout the Greek and Roman world. Upon arrival in Pamukkale we’ll discover Hierapolis and the travertine terraces: one of the most spectacular natural wonders and the unique natural site of white limestone terraces cascading down the mountain slope.
Day 6: Pamukkale - Konya (4,5 hours drive)
Today we will depart to Konya, city where Mevlana Rumi is buried, founder of the most well-known Sufi order, Mevleviye. In Konya, we will visit the Mevlana Museum. Then proceed to Karatay Theological School in which beautiful tiles are on display. Transfer to your hotel.
Day 7: Konya - Cappadocia Tour (4,5 hours drive)
Drive to Cappadocia. En route visit Sultanhan Caravanserai; caravanserais are inns built by Seljuk Turks to ensure the travel and trade safety of the merchant caravans traveling on the Silk Road. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 8: Cappadocia Tour
After breakfast tour Kaymaklı Underground City, one of the most interesting underground settlements in Cappadocia. Continue to Soğanlı Valley, an Open Air Museum in a wild natural setting near a typical Cappadocian village with its different style Rock-Cut churches and frescoes. Lunch break and visit to Sahinefendi newly discovered (01 May 2002) mosaic houses & Archaeological excavation site. Continue with Keslik Monastery near Cemil, that hides its frescoes behind a very thin smoke layer which we can only see by torch light. Our tour finishes with a visit to Mustafapaşa (Sinasos), an old Greek town with its spectacular old Greek houses; very fine examples of late Greek settlements and architecture. Transfer to hotel.
Overnight in Cappadocia
Day 9: Cappadocia Tour
Today meet the famous lunar landscape of Cappadocia: rock formations beyond belief in Devrent valley, a journey in the past with its troglodyte houses, visit to Pasabag "fairy chimneys" where the voice of wind mixes with the "songs of fairies" near Zelve. Lunch break in Avanos, centre of terra cotta work of art since 3000 BC, and a demonstration in a traditional pottery workshop. Afternoon, visit the famous Goreme Open Air Museum and see the best examples of Byzantine art in Cappadocia in rock-cut churches with frescoes and paintings (10th to 13th century). Continue to Uchisar Rock-Castle to have a panoramic view of the valleys of Cappadocia. Transfer to your hotel.
Day 10: Cappadocia by flight to Istanbul
Transfer to Cappadocia (Kayseri or Nevsehir) airport and take the flight from Cappadocia to Istanbul Ataturk airport. Upon arrival transfer to hotel. Free afternoon for your last minute shopping.
Day 11: Istanbul – Departure
Check-out at noon. Transfer to airport for your flight back home.

Tour Reservation Policy:
A 30% deposit is required on the total tour price to reserve the tour and obtain tour confirmation. The remaining balance on the total tour price can be paid in cash upon arrival in İstanbul. A credit card may also be used to pay the remaining balance. However, an additional bank processing fee of 4% on the remaining balance will have to be paid by the clients. If applicable, domestic flight / bus tickets will only be purchased after a deposit has been made on the total tour amount.
Cancellation / Refund Policy:
If tour cancellation is within 10 days of the start of the tour, a refund will be made of the total paid amount minus the cost of domestic flight and / or bus tickets and the cost of first night hotel stay. Once deposit payment form has been signed by clients and received by ISTANBUL EXPRESS TRAVEL, domestic flight and /or bus tickets and cost of first night hotel stay will NOT BE REFUNDED.
If cancelled within 48 hours of start of any tour, NO REFUNDS will be made to clients by ISTANBUL EXPRESS TRAVEL
